Privacy Policy
Effective: August 27, 2026 · Halt is operated by 8th Origin LLC ("we", "us").
What we collect
When you install Halt we store: your shop domain, your plan state, the controller settings you configure (locks, rules, messages), a log of each pause and resume including the IDs and titles of the discounts involved, bulk-code batches you generate, and daily aggregate discount figures computed from your orders (totals only — no line-level order data is kept).
What we do NOT collect
Halt never stores customer names, emails, phone numbers or addresses. Order data is read to compute aggregates and is not retained. Checkout rules run inside Shopify's own infrastructure (Shopify Functions); the cart is never sent to our servers.
Where data lives
A managed Postgres database (Neon) in a US region, encrypted at rest. Transport is TLS end to end.
How data is used
Solely to provide the product. We never sell data, never share it beyond the infrastructure providers above, and never use your store data to train AI models.
Retention & deletion
We delete shop configuration, sessions, pause history, batches, analytics and webhook records immediately when Shopify tells us the app was uninstalled. A keyed, non-readable lifecycle fingerprint is retained only to prevent a delayed Shopify retry from deleting a later reinstall. You can also email us for immediate deletion.
